Alfonso García Mora is IFC's Vice President for Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, leading its engagement in both regions, including its response to the war in Ukraine and its private investment pipeline. A Spanish national with more than 20 years of experience in financial and private sector development, he was previously IFC's Regional Vice President for Asia and the Pacific. Before that he was a Director at the World Bank, including Global Director for Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation. Prior to joining the World Bank Group, he was Partner and Managing Director at Analistas Financieros Internacionales (AFI). He holds a PhD in Financial Economics from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
