Boston Consulting Group (BGC)

About

Amir Ganaba is a Managing Director and Partner in Boston Consulting Group’s Los Angeles office. He co-leads BCG’s US Western Infrastructure practice and is a leader in the firm’s North America Infrastructure, Transportation and Cities sector. Over 14 years at BCG, he has led transformation programs for infrastructure owners and construction firms across the public and private sectors. Much of Amir’s current work is with several of North America’s largest general contractors, helping them use AI to shorten construction timelines on complex builds, particularly mission-critical and data center projects. That work centers on embedding AI into project planning and execution so contractors can hand over facilities sooner. He has also designed prefabrication and modular construction programs that help contractors build faster as construction costs climb. On the owner side, he has worked on capital delivery with major US airports including LAX, Dallas, Massport and Denver, and redesigned capital planning and asset management for a $30B+ airport portfolio. He co-authored California’s infrastructure strategy, which drove a comprehensive overhaul of related state legislation, and built an IIJA strategy for a large US state that identified funding pathways to expand its infrastructure capacity by more than 60% over a decade. He also co-led the City of Los Angeles COVID-19 economic restart task force. In disaster recovery, he led BCG’s work on California’s state wildfire recovery, building the blueprint for a $100B+ rebuild, and designed the $15B+ post-hurricane rebuild program for the US Virgin Islands, where he helped secure a tenfold increase in federal recovery funding.
