Dr Andrew Smith is the founder of Fathom and a leading authority in climate risk modelling. He established the company while completing his PhD at the University of Bristol and has since helped build it into one of the world's leading providers of flood risk intelligence and has been acquired by SwissRe. Alongside leading Fathom, Andrew remains an active research scientist specialising in computational flood modelling, with an extensive portfolio of published research. He regularly advises and speaks to governments, industry and academic audiences on climate risk and resilience.
