Ignacio Madridejos has been Chief Executive Officer of Ferrovial since October 2019. A civil engineer from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid with an MBA from Stanford Business School, he has worked across the United States, Europe, Latin America and Africa. He started his career as a site manager at Agroman (now Ferrovial Construction) and spent three years as a McKinsey consultant in Spain and Argentina. In 1996 he joined CEMEX, where he led operations in Egypt, Spain, Northern Europe and the United States, and served as Global Head of Energy, Safety and Sustainability. He has also chaired the Spanish cement association Oficemen and the European Cement Association, CEMBUREAU.
