Michael is the Global Manager of Strategy and Business Development for Bechtel’s Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU).  In this role, he provides oversight and guidance to the Infrastructure GBU’s business development professionals across all business lines and sectors and helps lead the GBU-wide strategy efforts.  He is a member of the Infrastructure GBU senior leadership team and is the functional manager for the business development organization within the Infrastructure GBU.  

Prior to re-joining Infrastructure, Michael was the Managing Director for Development in Bechtel Enterprises, Bechtel’s development, investment and financing arm.  In that role, Michael provided oversight to the teams working on the project development of assets in the infrastructure and energy transition markets.  Previously, Michael was a Managing Director for Infrastructure and senior counsel in Bechtel Enterprises.  Prior to his time in Bechtel Enterprises, Michael was a senior counsel in the Infrastructure GBU.  

Before joining Bechtel, Michael was a lawyer at two international law firms, Skadden Arps and Troutman Sanders (now Troutman Pepper)

With his extensive legal, commercial and development experience in multiple markets and sectors, Michael brings strong expertise in the development, financing and construction of large-scale power and infrastructure projects, including renewables and public-private partnerships.
   
Michael is known for his excellent commercial, customer relationship and leadership skills. He is a creative thinker and brings an innovative approach to solving problems with an ability to identify and address the commercial risks and realities in developing, financing, bidding and executing such projects.
