Russell Saltmarsh is a Project Director at Metroselskabet with responsibility for Copenhagen’s new Metro Line, M5. He is a Civil Engineer with 25 years of experience in developing and constructing infrastructure and metro systems around the world and has worked in the UK, Singapore, Los Angeles and Copenhagen. He has worked on 1200all phases of metro project from the early planning and political approvals to the detailed design and construction work. His current project M5, will connect the new planned city districts with the existing city, improving mobility and the resilience of the public transport network in Copenhagen. The project is on track to achieve an ambition of reducing carbon emissions by 50% compared to previous metro lines in Copenhagen.
