Valérie Levkov is Vice President for Infrastructure at the World Bank Group, where she leads work on energy, minerals, transport, urban development, tourism and disaster risk management in developing and emerging economies. She is one of the senior champions of Mission 300, which aims to connect 300 million people in Sub-Saharan Africa to electricity by 2030. She joined the Group in 2024 as IFC's Global Industry Director for energy and minerals. Before that, she spent more than three decades at Électricité de France (EDF), where her roles ranged from research and development to Senior Vice President for Africa and the Middle East, overseeing some 40 large-scale decarbonised energy projects in more than ten countries.
